So Im back in the land of blogs but this time, I've written down my email address and password. I will not start again. Again. I feel a bit better about this one but being young doesn't mean I know how to do this like some people think!
So blogs in the library? Fundementally a good idea. The possiblity of connection is endless. And libraries are a fantastic way to meet people with the same interests as you. I think specifically book clubs would be a good area for this kind of thing. They borrow the book from their local library, read it and share their views on blogs designated for them. The same rules apply, be on time, read the book. It means though, that you might not have to find a babysitter, or if you're sick or injured, the inconvenience of trying to leave the house is avoided. It also means that we can bring people together from further apart. People in the country can socialize about books or authors or activities, building relationships with others who could possibly be hundreds of k's away.
As a marketing tool, libraries can put notes up from guest speakers and fuel the hype of being there. I think the main goal is to get more people into libraries and reading so blogs or certainly internet advertising is essential.
Also blogs mean we can rant and whinge without anyone having to pretend to listen or agree
